Lexiklar is a fully offline German dictionary app. This policy describes what data the app handles and how.
Lexiklar stores the following data locally on your device only:
This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time in Settings.
Lexiklar does not require an account, login, or any personal information to use.
The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking of any kind.
The app includes optional "Report missing word" and "Report incorrect data" features. When you submit a report:
Reports are voluntary and the app functions fully without them.
The app periodically checks for dictionary updates by making a network request to our CDN (Cloudflare R2). On the web version, the dictionary database (~50 MB) is downloaded on first use after your confirmation. These requests may cause your IP address to be logged by Cloudflare as part of their standard server logging. No personal data is sent by Lexiklar in these requests.
The dictionary content is stored entirely on your device after the initial download. It is derived from German Wiktionary (CC BY-SA 4.0) and frequency corpora. No user data is associated with or transmitted alongside this data.
